That's because you're older than me. We were supposed to go over twice by boat...I remember plastering Cunard Lines stickers on all our luggage...both times cancelled. In 1966 when we did go, it was by plane (Constellation?).
How interesting? What was the occasion? Just summer holidays? The boat trip must have been an exciting start to the adventure. Do you remember much - you must have been very young

The Americans flew the Constellation (Lockheed). The Canadair Yukon (only 39 ever built, 12 for the RCAF) was based on the Bristol Britannia.

I was 6, and we were sailing to France to live for four years (NATO).
