This is the new ice from the other morning, very pretty, but now that the wind came up yesterday, it's very shattered and rough, not what I, as a rink rat, like to see.

One winter on Bass lake the ice froze so quickly that we had 6 inches of crystal clear ice. You could skate and see the very bottom of the lake...kinda freaky!!
