Mr. P.'s car has seen better days. In fact, a few more than my recently departed truck,Big Red. At least I was able to sell my vehicle for a case of beer. It looks like the only takers for this car would be Fred Flintstone or Barney Rubble - it wouldn't take much to plant your feet for brakes and acceleration.

Maybe we should hold a little fundraiser for Mr P. and buy him a Lada or a Skoda.

Actually Skip, it's known as car-pooling and has caught on considerably in the East, as opposed to the West where they actually give you your own lane on the highway to drive in.
Yes, that amazing machine has been in my possession now for 10+ fabulous years. It use to make the rounds - Mattawa, Temiscaming, Sudbury, Timmins, even Toronto, and of course, the capital of Powassan - Trout Creek, where it may even go for an upcoming farewell tour.
Anyway, it's been a great ride and I have nothing but love and admiration for that beauty.
Interesting coincidence as I am on my way to look for a replacement this morning. Maybe I'll talk our gracious host into publishing just one more picture of this baby before she sets off on her fast-approaching journey in the sun, to the 'Yard'.

yup...that's the west for you, nuthin' but oil and attitude...my ride in Lahr was a rusty '74 Peugeot 504 with a front passenger seat that would suddenly and inexplicably flop into full recline mode...it was fun on a hot date!

This one has a 'jump' seat in the back, which is typically hidden in the fold-down mode but when you open it up, it has a twin-seat bench which faces backwards towards the traffic following behind you. It's quite a neat experience for kids as they can either see the sights going away from you or engage the people in vehilces travelling behind you.
It was always lots of fun for my kids and their friends. Cody and Christan have even ridden back there...to their own delight.
They don't make'em like that anymore.
