This is the Niagara River as it flows into the whirlpool area. The river makes a sharp turn to the east, and as it does it creates the whirlpool that has now become famous.

This is the whirlpool and the cable car lines that run over it. I rode this back in the 60's when I was in grade 8, and there is no way I'll ever do that again.

Just up river from Queenston are the power dams of Niagara. The foliage covered building was one of the first power buildings built.
