Crystal Beach on Lake Erie - This used to be a fave place years ago to "whoop it up" in the summer. It had an amusement park on the water that was the Wonderland of its time, and it attracted visitors and big name entertainers from all over.
Here are some of the posters from the past with some of the big name entertainers that performed at Crystal Beach.
The rides had the same disclaimers for riders as they do now.
Crystal Beach is now a small lakeside town that only attracts beach goers and US summer visitors. It's in a pretty recession hit area of the outer Niagara region.

Good ole Crystal Beach...here's the web site of the Friends Of Crystal Beach (FOCB). They're trying to prevent the township from selling the last piece of public owned land in CB, to a developer, who can then sell the properties to 'visiting' Americans, from the other side of Lake Ontario.
If you scroll down about a quarter of the way on web site, you'll see the Bike Team '09 doing their 'part' for the FOCB.

I played there over 20 years ago with my band. We were called "Three Swell Guys.....a tribute to themselves ". This was in the beginning of the tribute band era, and I,ever the snotty purist, had taken umbrage with the concept of cashing in on imitating famous bands. So, we imitated ourselves....and hilarity ensued!!
