Recently my pal Mike (Silverpixel - http://mdemoree.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2012-01-11T16:56:00-05:00) posted a photo with an oak tree that still retained its leaves in the winter. Here's a young oak tree in the bush with most of its leaves, even after heavy snow, freezing rain and blizzards.

I live on Ellendale Dr., just behind Widdifield High School. Most of the oaks still have their leaves this year. Must be an annomally(sp).

I thought the anomaly was when the oaks lost their leaves as they seem to be more often than in the old cold days
I've noticed a few oak leaves laying on top of the snow at my house - probably still on the trees but couldn't hold-on any longer.
