North Bay's Main Street lost another "heritage" building last night due to fire. Over the past few decades there have been a number of old buildings that have gone up in flames. This one, the Cochrane Building built in 1911, also lost 2 great vibrant businesses in the fire - Vested Interest Trading and Lefebvres.
My name is Rob Greenfield, and I live, work and play in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. I am an avid amateur photographer, and I enjoy posting photos of things and events I have been doing.

Very sad Rob but the building is still standing and lets hope it can be restored.
Lefebvre's was a fixture on Main Street when I first moved there in the 70's. I hope they rebuild the store. I loved going there.
I'm with you, Mike. i hope it can be restored.
Did that used to be Lefebvre's Shoes as well? If so, I worked there in high school.
I guess even if not, I still worked at Lefebvre's Shoes in high school.
Ah, I wondered, UC, if you were a North Bay boy or got in with this talented gang in university.
And did your shoe salesmanship stand you in good stead?
