This store and the sign in the photo used to be Melrose's Joke Shop for decades. I guess Melrose is having a laugh now - a bong shop on Main Street in North Bay! Who'd have thunk it?

Believe the name was Melrose Joke shop. Busted there at age 10? for shoplifting Chinese Jigsaw puzzles when owner noticed me stuffing in pocket....no cops...just never come back. 25 years later, could not believe that none of my Montreal co-workers had ever heard of a whoopie-cushion (trying to explain was funny too)...so I did.
