Freeze water in heavy duty pails 2/3 full for aout 12-16 hours, -20C is the best. Then place them inside for an hour so the ice isn't frozen to the paltci sides. Turn them up side down, outside, chisel the center to get at the water not yet frozen in the middle, dump the water, chisel the hole to the thickness of the "walls," insert candle, light.
