No, this is not from the tropics. This itsy bitsy yellow spider dropped down on a leaf of one of the hostas in our garden. Any ideas as to the type of spider? I've never seen a yellow spider before.

Is this full grown and native? I saw something that could have been called this in the tropics about the size of my hand
