Mid-November Cloud Reflections
It's a beauty day today, so I went for a paddle along the lake shore. It was quite warm and very still, and I even heard a few late-leaving loons calling.

Rideau Canal
This is the part of the Rideau Canal that leads upriver to the Poonamalie Lock at the beginning of Rideau Lake. We spent 4 days cruising the system from Merrickville up to the end of Big Rideau Lake and back - Fabulous excursion!

Black Snake Root
This late summer bloomer, Black Snake Root, sure attracts the bees, who, I'm sure, are ecstatic as there are few flowers in bloom this time of year.

Here's the float plane I was on from which I took the pictures posted below. She's a 50 year old beauty.

Trout Lake
I went for a float plane flight yesterday afternoon with Butcher Brophey. We flew over the city for a bit and then flew east over Trout Lake and down the Mattawa River system. This a view looking east over Trout Lake.

Stompin' Tom
This is, I'm pretty sure, a statue of Stompin' Tom in front of the Sudbury Arena. There is no name attached to it, but the board the statue is stompin' is a give away.

Mural
Here's another wall mural from downtown Sudbury. This one is pretty large and includes the 3 bike "sculptures" that are actual size.

Sudbury For Sale
I was biking for a couple of hours in Sudbury yesterday and noticed the water tower. Is it for sale, or is Sudbury open for buyers?

Lake Nipissing Sunset
After playing hockey yesterday afternoon, I scooted down to the lake to catch the sunset. I wasn't as early as I'd like to have been due to an inconvenient, for me, traffic light. Even so, as usual on Lake Nipissing, the sunset was great.

Lighthouse, Calander Bay
I always wanted to go to this island in Calander Bay and check out the lighthouse, but never did, and it has since been destroyed by high winds and then dismantled and taken away.
