Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas, but this scene is from last year. We have no snow or ice this year; although, I'm sure we will see winter conditions soon.

The Sterling Bank of Canada
Not sure if the Sterling Bank of Canada folks ever envisioned Pizza Pizza as the "marquis" business in their building in downtown Toronto in the 21st century.

Autumn Reflection
This is an autumn reflection photo of Four Mile Bay taken last month. There is no colour now as all the leaves are down.

Garage Doors
There's nothing like a stroll downtown Toronto and checking out the back alleys and laneways. These are some smart looking garage doors.

Four Mile Bay. Oct. 27, 2015
This is a panorama photo of Four Mile Bay, looking north, that I took yesterday. Yesterday was an awesome autumn day.

Fall Day on the Lake
I took the final cruise of the season yesterday on the Fortuitous as I was taking the boat off the lake for the winter.

Mazinaw Lke
This is the view of the small bay on Mazinaw Lake my pal Mike's cottage is on. The drive there and back from North Bay to Pembroke and down Highway 41 was spectacular!

Thanksgiving Monday
It's a beautiful Thanksgiving Monday. Marsha and I went for a paddle along the lake to check out the fall colours and enjoy the warmth.

Monster Hosta
This perennial monster hosta was bigger than anticipated this year as half of it was cut out and given to a neighbour.

Abandoned
Not sure of the meaning of the tag here, but the building appears t be unused and ripe for vandalization.

Gordon Lightfoot
Great show - Gordon Lightfoot - Aug. 28, 2015 at the Capital Center in North Bay; we were 2nd row, dead center.

Lake Mazinaw
This is a view straight up the cliffs at Lake Mazinaw - about 300 feet straight up, and the drop is pretty much exactly the same straight down below the surface of the water.
The Mazinaw cliffs also have a number of petroglyphs that date back to hundreds of years before the North American invasion by white men.

Summer in the Park, North Bay, Aug. 1, 2015
This is a missed shot of the stage set up and background for the Burton Cummings concert on Saturday night - great show!

North Wind
The North Wind came in Tuesday afternoon with a vengeance - strong gale force winds and a huge drop in temperature.

Edge of Beaver Pond
The beavers were busy, and their efforts had caused the road to be under water, one of the reasons it's nice to have a truck, and this little pond was flourishing.

McConnell Lake
The Ice Marshal and I went for a little road trip to the McConnell Lakes area between North Bay and the Ottawa River to look for a needle in the haystack. We didn't find the needle, but we had a swell time sight seeing in the bush.

Downtown Toronto Deer
While not as animate or footloose as the deer in our backyard, there are deer to be found in downtown Toronto. These ones were spotted on the north side of Bloor Street between Church and Yonge.

Spring Chevy
I couldn't resist taking a photo of this '56 Chevy truck. The bright yellow paint job looks great in a parking lot in spring - just like the first spring flowers in a garden, or dandelions in a lawn.

I came across this graffiti underneath the bridge over Duchesnay Creek where the creek empties into Lake Nipissing.

Full Moon Over Trout Lake
This isn't the recent blood moon, and I'm not sure if it's even a blood moon, but it's a cool full moon photo I dredged up from the archives.

Rolphton, Ottawa River
I was down in "the Valley" on the weekend and took this photo en route. This bridge spans the Ottawa River in Rolphton, ON, over the Rapids de Joachims leading to Quebec.

Banyon Trees
I love banyon trees. This old one in Naples, Florida, arches way over the road, and its trunks are enormous. I know most trees reveal their age by the number of rings in their trunks, but how would one age a banyon tree?

Drink
Drink - rather an appropriate sign to have in a bar, don't you think? Bet it would never get the green light in Ontariario.
