Rideau Canal

This is the part of the Rideau Canal that leads upriver to the Poonamalie Lock at the beginning of Rideau Lake.  We spent 4 days cruising the system from Merrickville up to the end of Big Rideau Lake and back - Fabulous excursion!

Black Snake Root

This late summer bloomer, Black Snake Root, sure attracts the bees, who, I'm sure, are ecstatic as there are few flowers in bloom this time of year.

Trout Lake

I went for a float plane flight yesterday afternoon with Butcher Brophey.  We flew over the city for a bit and then flew east over Trout Lake and down the Mattawa River system.  This a view looking east over Trout Lake.
