Edge of Beaver Pond

The beavers were busy, and their efforts had caused the road to be under water, one of the reasons it's nice to have a truck, and this little pond was flourishing.

McConnell Lake

The Ice Marshal and I went for a little road trip to the McConnell Lakes area between North Bay and the Ottawa River to look for a needle in the haystack.  We didn't find the needle, but we had a swell time sight seeing in the bush.

Downtown Toronto Deer

While not as animate or footloose as the deer in our backyard, there are deer to be found in downtown Toronto.  These ones were spotted on the north side of Bloor Street between Church and Yonge.

I couldn't resist taking a photo of this '56 Chevy truck.  The bright yellow paint job looks great in a parking lot in spring - just like the first spring flowers in a garden, or dandelions in a lawn.

Punta Cana - not cold

It's so friggin' cold!!  I'd rather be in Punta Cana.

Alligator

Only 1 alligator in the creek, according to the sign, must be a pet one.

Banyon Trees

I love banyon trees.  This old one in Naples, Florida, arches way over the road, and its trunks are enormous.  I know most trees reveal their age by the number of rings in their trunks, but how would one age a banyon tree?
