I was down in "the Valley" on the weekend and took this photo en route.  This bridge spans the Ottawa River in Rolphton, ON, over the Rapids de Joachims leading to Quebec.

Punta Cana - not cold

It's so friggin' cold!!  I'd rather be in Punta Cana.

It does look nice outside in this cold February, but I'm pretty tired of it - bring on some heat!

Only 1 alligator in the creek, according to the sign, must be a pet one.

Banyon Trees

I love banyon trees.  This old one in Naples, Florida, arches way over the road, and its trunks are enormous.  I know most trees reveal their age by the number of rings in their trunks, but how would one age a banyon tree?

Nip Ice

I went to the waterfront yesterday to take some photos of the ice that was built up after some strong winds.  These grasses are usually beaten down by snow and looked pretty cool in front of the trees on the beach.

Bush Poplars

 

Sunny and I went for a walk in the bush after the start of the snow we've had, but before we got really dumped on.  These naked poplar trees really stood out in the bush.
