We spent Sunday making the frames for Mr. P.'s dock.  The cribs were built a couple of weeks ago.  I'm not sure when the decking is going on, but I'm pretty sure I'll be called upon to help screw it down.  Now I have another place to dock the Fortuitous on the other side of the lake.

Field, Ontario, got pretty much wiped out in 1979 when the Sturgeon River flooded.  I don't know if this gas station was a victim of the flood or of economic reasons, but it sits in the area that was decimated by the flood.

I just returned from a one and a half four day modified canoe/kayak trip down the Sturgeon River from River Valley to south of Field with some Killer Strawberries - the Ice Marshall, Butcher Brophey ( and yes he did work, once upon a time, in a butcher shop) and Freight Train Laronde.  It was, as usual, awesome!!

Had a great time at the Neelin Family Pig Roast in Oxford Mills on the weekend.  Thanks Mike and Clude - I had a fabulous time!

Bill's drive on the 15th hole at Clear Springs yesterday travelled about 50 feet, then smacked into Denis' golf bag and lodged in the top of the bag.  I suppose we could have just carried the bag the length of the hole and then let the ball fall out of the bag on the green for a tap in eagle, but we are "sportsmen" afterall.

I went for a "spin" on one of Bob's kayaks yesterday morning.  He and his wife paddled over to our place earlier in the weekend.  I towed the other kayak behind me as I returned them to him.  The paddling included a short portage over the road separating 4 Mile Bay from the main lake.
